Sponsoring Art Fair East - Musker McIntyre Estate Agents

We are proud to announce that once again we will be sponsoring Art Fair East, in keeping with our ethos of being “Passionate about People and Property.”

Due to run from December 2nd to 5th, in St Andrews Hall in Norwich, this major art fair features many of the top artists and creatives in the region, nationally and even internationally. It’s become recognised as an important event in the art scene in the East of England.

Many of the artists and agents will be at the event, offering the opportunity to purchase many of the works – from affordable artworks to investment pieces.

This year’s exhibitors include visual artist and curator Brian Korteling. A local man, Brian’s art “examines interpretations of reality, often distorting and dissecting the visual field in the process.”

British/German artist and illustrator Susanne Mason produces bright, bold digital and printed work which is mainly based on hand-drawn sketches. Her paintings – which are mostly in acrylic - are inspired by the Norfolk landscape and coast where she now lives. It features nature, flowers and animals. Her illustrations and pattern designs are also influenced by foreign cultures.

Shelly N Knott is a fine art photographer from East Suffolk who incorporates modern technology into her work. She uses natural light to provide her images with “a greater depth and exceptional colour.” Many of her photographs incorporate the symbolism of the Dutch Masters.

Will Teather is a British painter and artist who creates “arresting images revealing a unique imagination.” An artist in residence for Norwich Arts Fair from 2015 to 2020, Will produces contemporary images using traditional skills. According to the artist his figurative paintings and drawings “often depict curious characters caught up in uncanny situations."

@will_teather: “I’m influenced by magical-realism and lift motifs from diverse sources such as Flemish still life, baroque art and Weimar painters… I enter into conversation with the history of painting with the aim of bringing a present-day sensibility to the table.”

Dawny Christien is a sculptor who describes her work as “a focus on abstraction of the human form in a way that reimagines feminist narratives and discusses social constructs.” Her medium is stone and the pieces are fired then either waxed and polished, or decorated with a range of brush on glazes, slips, stains and oxides.

Julie Price describes herself as “a novelty artist”. She sees painting as a form of escapism and a way to put her humour and imagination into art form. Her paintings include a range of animals in unusual everyday ‘human’ situations.
