Getting through it together – Musker McIntyre Community Fund donates to the Norfolk Community Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund

Musker McIntyre Estate Agents owned by Joanna & Simon McIntyre are proud to announce that back in April at the height of the Pandemic they made a substantial donation to the Norfolk Community Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund via The Musker McIntyre Community Fund. Set up to offer practical support to the county’s most vulnerable residents, the fund has been a vital lifeline for thousands of people across Norfolk.

Estate agent Musker McIntyre cares deeply about the community it works in and is committed to supporting local people and local businesses. Even though the property market is currently unpredictable and business has suffered, they have donated almost £3,000 to the Norfolk Community Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund in order to help those who have been badly impacted by the virus.

The money donated by Musker McIntyre was given to the fund back in April as soon as the crisis hit. Since then, it has been put to good use supporting volunteers, protecting vulnerable children, supporting charities and helping towards the cost of providing PPE to the county’s key workers.

Since the start of the crisis, the Norfolk Community Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund has been working to reduce its impact on the county’s most vulnerable. The fund has been overwhelmed by requests for help by both established charities and new, grassroots organisations. By mid-April, the fund had supported over 160 groups to get up and running, enabling committed, compassionate people across Norfolk to provide the help and support that is urgently needed.

Charities and organisations working to support vulnerable people hit by the COVID- 19 pandemic can apply to the fund for a grant. The money awarded can be used in a number of ways to help the charity or organisation continue their work at this difficult time. Charities that have already benefited from the Norfolk Community Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund include the Wellspring Family Centre in Dereham, the Holt Youth Project and Volunteering Matters.

With the support of Musker McIntyre, who have seven offices across Norfolk & Suffolk, and other local businesses and individuals, the Norfolk Community Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund has been able to raise a large amount of money in a short space of time.
