What can we say; 2020 has certainly been a year to remember and not necessarily for the best of reasons! As we round up what has been difficult times for all of us, we know much of what we have achieved this year would not have happened had it not been for our amazing team of Property Consultants at Musker McIntyre, our clients and our customers.

We have to firstly thank all of our amazing teams at Musker McIntyre, and our loyal, patient customers for all their support. Without you all, 2020 would have been much tougher.
When the coronavirus hit the UK at the beginning of the year, we all perhaps thought it wasn’t going to last long. By the time we reached Lockdown 1.0 in March, we all recognised that COVID-19 was here to stay for a while longer.
We can’t thank our team of Property Consultants enough for their enthusiasm and capacity to not only adapt to working remotely throughout the first lockdown period, but making it a successful transition for Musker McIntyre and keeping the Agency fully operational throughout the pandemic.
Throughout the ongoing coronavirus restrictions, we have been immensely proud of the way our team have all continued to provide professional, honest and friendly advice and looked after our customers and clients – we thank you. Their enduring hard work and dedication during this pandemic has been an inspiration to us all.
The Musker McIntyre Community Fund
As you are all aware, we established The Musker McIntyre Community Fund (via The Norfolk Foundation) in 2008, supporting local good causes. We know how important ‘Think Local’ is to our communities and never is this as vital as it is now.
At Musker McIntyre, we wanted to support our local communities more than ever as we all battle COVID-19. Through The Norfolk Community Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund, in April this year we made a substantial donation of nearly £3,000, via our own Musker McIntyre Community Fund, to help those in our local area that have been badly impacted by the coronavirus.
We are delighted to report that the donation has been put to good use throughout our community supporting volunteers and charities, protecting vulnerable children, and helping in a small way to the cost of providing PPE to our county’s key workers.
As you can imagine, the fund has been inundated with requests since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic by a wide, diverse range of organisations, charities and businesses throughout Norfolk. Without all of your hard work and support, and that of our customers and clients, we would not have been able to continue our work with The Norfolk Community Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund.
Despite it being a challenging year for the property market, Musker McIntyre, along with other local businesses and individuals, has helped many, many people in the area including the Holt Youth Project, the Wellspring Family Centre in Dereham and Volunteering Matters.

The Property Market 2021
Whilst the UK property market has indeed been challenging this year, particularly when it all ground to a halt during the first lockdown, we have seen unprecedented growth in 2020. We can’t deny that the Government’s decision to scrap Stamp Duty for properties under £500,000 had a very positive impact and will certainly be one of the reasons for the predictions of 4% growth in 2021. Indeed, just in our local area we saw prices increase and more sales taking place.
Although we now have a COVID-19 vaccine, with another on the way, the coronavirus is still very much with us as we enter 2021 and it will undoubtedly have an impact, along with the end of the Stamp Duty holiday on 31st March 2021. We will carry on with our Strict Covid-19 Viewing Protocol and keep our team, clients and customers safe adhering to all the Government Guidelines at work and at home.
We will start the New Year of 2021 with positivity but also reality that there are difficult times ahead. That said we are confident that our amazing team of Property Consultants, will dig deep, work together and continue to help Musker McIntyre shine throughout Norfolk & Suffolk.
