East Anglian Air Ambulance Suffolk Coast Bike Ride, 23rd July
If you want to help raise money for charity, get fit and see more of the stunning Suffolk countryside, the East Anglian Air Ambulance Suffolk Coast Bike Ride will make the perfect day out. The event begins at Glemham Hall and kicks off at 8am on Sunday 23rd July.
Hales and Loddon Cricket Club
There are few things more reminiscent of a British summer’s day than the sound of leather against willow. Matches will be taking place at Hales and Loddon Cricket Club every Saturday throughout the summer, so why not pack yourself a picnic and enjoy a traditional British day out?
Latitude Festival, 13th – 16th July
One of the biggest events happening in Suffolk this summer is Latitude Festival. Held in Henham Park, near Southwold, the festival welcomes thousands of visitors from across the UK. Packed full of music, comedy, literary fun and loads of exciting activities, it’s a great festival for families, couples and groups of all ages.
The Snape Maltings Vintage and Makers Market, 30th July
Pick up a unique souvenir of your stay in Suffolk, and explore the county’s creative side, with a visit to The Snape Maltings Vintage and Makers Market. There’ll be a fantastic selection of new and vintage treasures on offer, with everything from clothes and ornaments to jewellery and furnishings available.
Felixstowe Book Festival, 1st & 2nd July
Now in its fifth year, the Felixstowe Book Festival has become an important part of the literary calendar. There’ll be lots of book based activities taking place throughout the weekend, so come along and celebrate your favourite novels.
Old Newton Country Fayre and Dog Show, 16th July
Celebrating the best of country life in Suffolk, this action packed event is a great day out for all the family. Bring your four-legged friend along and take part in fun classes and events or watch an agility show to see how the professionals do it. There will be lots of other activities and events taking place throughout the day, so head along for some country fun.
Beccles Carnival, 20th & 21st August
Visit Beccles in August for the town’s annual carnival. There’ll be a traditional carnival parade, a teddy bear parade, prize giveaways and fancy dress competitions. Whether you’re competing in an event or not, the carnival is a great way to spend a sunny weekend.
