Looking at the 'bigger picture' is something that is important for all of us to do throughout our lives particularly in conjunction with our business and professional lives not just our personal lives. Having successfully run Musker McIntyre Estate Agency for the last 7 years both Simon and I and all of the teams in each of our 7 offices fully understand how important the local communities are that we work within. All our branches employ local people with local knowledge whom can assist with local questions and help with the 'bigger picture' of the local area particularly to buyers moving to Norfolk & Suffolk from other areas of the UK or further afield. There is nothing more annoying for buyers to contact agents whom have never been to the properties that they are trying to sell, we make a point of ensuring that all the sales negotiators have viewed the properties and indeed most of the administrative staff too. We feel that this is essential to give a personal service and it means that our staff can be confident in discussing the properties within the market place and gives us good results. The local communities benefit directly from using us as their 'local independent agent' by in turn receiving sponsorship for various Football, Rugby,Cricket teams and Arts Venues. We also have the Musker McIntyre Community Fund which last year provided grants for two Alzheimer's Society Groups, contribution to the new playing field at Woodton and a grant for sound equipment to Beccles Lido Limited for the hall. We also ran a Charity Shoot at High Lodge which was a great success and much enjoyed by all whom attended this raised a considerable amount for the EACH Hospice at Quidenham. The Halesworth office paid for the Christmas lights to be replaced on the town Christmas tree which had been vandalised the previous year. There is a wide range of sponsorship that we contribute towards on every level as we are involved with the whole of our communities and deal with a total cross section of people and their families. We are all proud to live and work in our communities and I am delighted that as a independent business we are able to 'give something back' to the people whom have helped make our business what it is today. The ethos of looking at the 'bigger picture' and working together with the communities and people around us will carry on and I hope together that we will achieve great things. It's not all about selling property - it's about giving an excellent service, achieving great results and remembering to give something back.
